Kitchen Commune is a cooking-together app for adults aged 18 and over. We bring people together through friendship, good food, and cultural exchange.
This is a frontend preview. Sign-in, live matching, AI suggestions, payments, reports, account deletion, and video calling are not connected yet. The policies below describe our commitments for the live service.
What we collect
Your name, country, time zone, languages, dietary preferences, cooking intent, free time, kitchen ingredients, and email address for sign-in. Only share information you are comfortable providing.
How we use it
We use your profile and cooking information only to help match you with someone free to cook at the same time and to suggest dishes with AI based on what is in your kitchens. Your email is used for sign-in, not shared with matches.
Private calls and contact details
Video calls run on private Jitsi Meet links. Kitchen Commune does not record calls. We never sell personal data and never share your phone number or email address with matches. Keep your call link private and do not record others without their permission.
Payments
Razorpay handles payments in India. Dodo Payments handles international payments. Kitchen Commune never stores card details; payment information is handled by the payment provider under its own privacy policy.
Report and block
You can report or block someone if you feel uncomfortable. Accounts with repeated reports are paused for review. Safety reports are used to protect the community, not for marketing.
Your choices and deletion
You can ask us to delete your account and personal data, or ask about information we hold about you. Contact us through the in-app Report option for now. Once accounts and reporting are connected, we will review these requests and explain any information that must be kept for legal reasons.
Our privacy commitments
We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and GDPR principles: collect only what is needed, explain its use, keep it safe, and respect your choices. We will update this policy if the service changes.
